Hee Hee

Well, this story amused the hell out of me. Seems like even world-wide bestselling authors have trouble with drive-by book signings. I've read blog entries where newbie authors have been viewed with suspicion (or worse) when they walk into bookstores and start signing stock. Why a newbie wouldn't talk to the manager first escapes me, but it happens. Of course, if I were Stephen King, I probably wouldn't think twice, either!

Thank You! I wanted to be "amused as hell" too---and I was.

Cute story...so glad King wasn't taken into custody by store security (hee) and was "charming" in the grocery store later.

So cool when peeps you think will be cool are. :-)

Well, with a face like that I'd call security!

With a wallet like that, he could buy the store's entire security force! I liked that he was signing books for charity. Very cool.

I thought it was interesting that the book store owner said it was embarrassing if she didn't have an author's books. I want to go to that bookstore!
